Betsy teaches negotiations and leadership at Harvard Law School and is a sought-after strategic advisor and keynote speaker. She has synthesized decades of experience working in the private sector, government, and academia into an invaluable skillset that is steeped in the ability to see and leverage multiple perspectives simultaneously. Betsy created the first-of-its-kind Polarities course at Harvard Law School and has been teaching negotiations at Georgetown and Harvard law schools since 2001. As a lawyer, her career accomplishments include serving as lead counsel to state attorneys general on some of the nation's highest stakes government investigations and settlements, such as the opioid epidemic and the mortgage crisis. Betsy represented states in matters that delivered over $27 billion in relief to both governments and consumers. Betsy has deep experience in state and federal government, having served as Chief of Staff and Senior Counsel to the D.C. Attorney General and as Nominations Counsel to the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee.
